Which language and provider do you support?

We are supporting Python 3 and we don’t support Python 2. Metabob can be accessed through GitHub.

Is the tool open source?

Metabob is not an open source tool.

Can I use Metabob for my corporate Python projects that are hosted on enterprise github?

Unfortunately we are not supporting Github Enterprise at this time, but we are actively working on fully supporting it. If your company is interested in trying out Metabob on a trial basis, we may be able to make special accommodations for you. What is the pricing model?

Good news :) Our tool is completely free for individual accounts at this moment.

Are you sharing the data with 3rd parties? How does Metabob handle data about my code?

We do not share any data with third parties. We abide by github's security guidelines for handling sensitive data about your codebase.

What exactly does ‘Act on my behalf’ mean? What is the permission level?

The reason we request to "act on your behalf" is that this is the only way that we can implement our code commenting feature. The "Act on your behalf" permission alert gets triggered due to our possession of your oauth token. We are moving away from needing to carry that token in order to validate the repositories and accounts that a certain user has permissions to access, which is the only action we perform with that token, outside of identity validation.

Does Metabob install all repositories on my Github?

We offer an option to individually select which repositories an app is installed for as part of the installation process. However, it does install for all repositories in an account by default.

How long does Metabob’s Analysis take?

Normally analyses should take a minute or two at most.

How many repositories can Metabob install?

Metabob can be installed on as many repositories as you have on github.

How is Metabob different from similar code review tools?

Metabob is the AI-assisted tool that can holistically analyze hidden errors and performance sinks by reviewing Python code and visualizing where detected problems are located. It combines rule-based heuristics and AI to learn from code improvements in any open source python repositories, to identify code snippets where problems are likely.
